Marry Me - St. Vincent
last night after departing from a bar, i was walking down the street and humming, slowly realizing that the voice in my head was that of Colin Meloy.
this morning i saw a calm, rather tall, attractive black man walking down the street wearing a two-piece version of the outfit below minus the head piece and all the gold bits were metallic. oh and just regular tennis shoes. i think they were black. aaahhaha. san francisco.
oh and the album Bloodflowers by The Cure bores me to pieces. :(
man. i feel SO much better today. it's ridiculous. i felt better yesterday too after lunch. what a difference food makes. i also went out with a coworker last night and had a grilled cheese sandwich. bad me. but it was fun.
i finally downloaded itunes. i have a feeling that someone is trying to convert me.
i've been thinking about this for a while. and since vox has the handy audio uploading thingy i figured this was a good place to do it.
copy. pass on. meme away.
if you were to make an album of covers, which songs would you choose? Why?
this is just a great song. from a great album.
very sad. and i love the visual nature of this song.
i kind of have no idea what this song is about. but somehow the words make me feel something anyway.
this song kills me.
i've just always loved this song. it's one i might even be able to play on the guitar!
everything you wanna taste...
a song about my life..
this is a song about everyone's life..
hard to explain this one.. i just like it. my friend tom hates the signer and doesn't approve. lol
this song also kills me. but you know.. you can dance to it!
this song mentions naughty things.. but beautifully!
mother..
i just like this. and i needed a rock song...
so i'm chatting to my friend online the other day and somehow the subject of Bjork comes up. we are both big fans (as everyone should be) and he tells me about the MOMA exhibition in san francisco of her boyfriend (husband?) matthew barney. the main attraction is his experimental film Drawing Restraint #9 - which features himself and bjork doing all sorts of odd and beautifully shot things. my friend said it was way too long and rather boring.. more than 2 hours. but bjork did the music which is quite interesting! barney says he will not have a wide release of a DVD of the film, but the soundtrack is available.
i found a link about the exhibition on moma's website. there are some videos of him talking about his art in general as well as the film. my opinion of him is SET firmly. i'll leave you to make up your own mind. let's just say that no matter what i'll still love bjork.

What's your musical horoscope? (Put your music player on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs that come up.) Inspired by Stephanie.
FINE. but please keep in mind that some of these songs are only in my playlist because i don't currently have any DVD writing software so i can get them off my computer without getting rid of them completely. in other words, i do not find them all that exciting/am thoroughly bored with them. these songs will be marked with a *. others are spoken word... it's a right strange mixture!
